This is government over reach and a clear attack on parental rights. My child is not producing appropriately at his school, nor are they taking any of his needs into account thereby he is not at grade level. . im seriously considering pulling him out and home schooling him. But I would start at they level he was at in attending school which is below where he should be. Clearly I'd need to have a test showing this prior to withdrawing him otherwise it will reflect on me. This is horrible that schools are not held to this standard though.

My child went to public school and did exceptionally well however some children do not and that’s right should not be removed for other parents

It is disappointing to me when an irresponsible minority can be used to justify regulations on responsible, achieving families. The Education Committee would best spend its time on looking at the low standards for an ever-increasing swath of public school students. How do I know about low standards? I retired after 31 years in the system last year.

In spite of the recent news about the family in CA, that is NOT a homeschooling problem. Homeschooling was used as a guise to mask the depravity of the parents. Homeschooled children typically rank amongst the highest in the nation, are more adjusted and have a better work ethic than students coming out of public schools. This bill takes the rights away from parents and puts the government in an overreaching role. Those that wrote this bill should take the time to research and do due diligence in regards to the homeschooling community.

Public school does not guarantee safety in any procen measure. I urge the NH state government to give due diligence to study actual data and not simply react.

What was happening in the Perris Home in CA does not, in the leadt bit, allign with the defintion of home centered education, Homeschooling. Homeschooling is a right of the American people.
