REJECT DELTA'S OFFICIAL COMMUNITY PLAN 2024 - PROTECT DELTA'S FUTURE: For present and future generations

A more thoughtful plan with more respect for the community and its heritage is required.

Mayor & Council need to bring Mayor's Housing Task Force Report 2020 forward and adopt height recommendation max 18 storeys for ND. Hospitals in crisis can't provide care for density proposed.

This process is very rushed and having a public meeting at 3:00pm when people are working or picking up kids from school isn’t showing dignity to Delta residents. The City requires months to do reviews about purchasing more land for parks, tree policies, and determining the need for recreation facilities in the City but can change zoning by laws in a few weeks. Does not make sense.

More input needed for the people involved.

The speed that the new OCP process is being forced upon the community and Delta Councils failure to slow down, and respond to legitimate community concerns in a meaningful way is beyond disappointing.

Out of respect to the citizens of Delta, please defer approval of the draft OCP until you are able to obtain meaningful and fully informed feedback from a significant number of our residents

The project is to big for the village

Transportation plans need to be a part of any growth strategy. Not against growth and more affordable housing but roadways and transit need to be the primary features addressed. Fixing one problem while creating another is not good planning.

Leave south delta alone!

There is no reason to rush this process. Why are other cities provided more time?

I’m completely against a hotel in the village

I worry that we are not thinking about the gridlock that will happen with late apartment buildings and no parking.

Delay this process until tge NEXT civc election! Stand up to the NDP provincial government and tell them to stand down until tge process is vetted throughly. We are passing our community on to tge next generation. Let's do ir right. With clear and concise benefits for all.

There needs to be changes and upgrades to our infrastructure before adding thousands of new people. Already citizens are not able to get a doctor. There are no “walk in” clinics anymore. Traffic is getting worse every day and cars park anywhere they want on side streets - ie. in front of fire hydrants, within a foot or two of a driveways, etc.
