I vote NO. I don't agree with killing more small businesses, nor would I like Ladner Village to become like Steveston.

densification of Ladner and Tsawwassen needs to be put on pause until an lection gives the Council a clear mandate. This Council cannot be trusted to stand up to the pressure of developers.

Throwing long term business owners out of their properties in a matter of months is reprehensible.
A six story hotel on Ladner’s waterfront would effectively ruin the heart centre of Ladner. This council’s actions will destroy the historic character of the village and that is unacceptable.

Absolutely ridiculous. Let's revitalize Ladner by removing 6 healthy businesses that Ladner relies on? What?!? The building on Chisholm Street where Heritage House and Dragonfly reside was once an airplane hanger brought over by Massey after WW2. This building adds to the charm of the village. Locals and tourists alike rave about the high ceilings & beams and love to visit and shop there. But let's tear this down and throw up what is sure to be a cookie cutter, architecturally boring 6 story high hotel. Why? Ladner is not a destination and we have a brand new Casino hotel down the road not to mention the Coast Hotel. I cannot think how such a project would succeed especially in today's market. What is Delta thinking?!?!

As well, the building would darken Chisholm St & waterfront when the sun is low in the winter.

Ladner Village needs to remain a "village". This is why tourists come here and people choose to live here. It is a quiet yet vibrant community, a "one of a kind" where children grow up, stay here and want to raise their families here.
There is a hotel in Tsawwassen and one at the Cascades Casino which both make sense. A hotel in a heritage village does not.

This is what happens when folks don't care about voting. Lost voice = dictatorship.
