We do not need this "revitalization of Ladner" as pushed by the Mayor. I like it here as it and not like his palacial home of Tsawassen Springs. Please understand densification belongs in Aldergrove and beyond.

The consultant's report is flawed and should not be the primary argument used to build a hotel. The amenities proposed are in direct competition with established Ladner businesses. Why do that to local businesses? The projected revenue includes from parking on-site. Since when does the city or any business in Delta charge for parking? We pride ourselves that parking is free anywhere in Delta. We have two hotels in south Delta that look after the needs of travellers. Ferry travellers are not going to drive into Ladner and neither are Hwy 99 travellers. This is the wrong idea in the wrong place.

There is no need for a hotel in Ladner. No need. The way this was shoved through with no transparency is unacceptable & what is exceptionally egregious is the eviction of the current businesses.

Evictions of small local businesses, and use of public land for a hotel instead of affordable housing, make this proposal inappropriate. On both these issues, Council's actions will speak louder than words.

Heritage House and Dragonfly are two of the best destination shops in Ladner Whose ridiculous idea was it to remove them, and put in a hotel? Seriously A destination location with nowhere to shop? Taking away Parking when Ladner village already has insufficient parking. I’m not against progress, but I am certainly against bad ideas.
I live down the road from The location of this proposed hotel, and I’d much rather have Dragonfly , Heritage house, Blue Moon really anything except a Boutique Hotel, that’s no use to me or my neighbours.
Why would they stay in Ladner when the Coast Tsawwassen Inn And the casino are both exceptionally good hotels?

this Council is out of control and we the community need to step up and be heard. Dylan Kruger is out to make a name for himself and fancies himself as the new mayor!! heaven helps us - we need council members with integrity and have the community they are elected to serve to do that!!!

The City of Delta should not be in the Hotel Business. If there was a demand, a Hotel chain would have come knocking along time ago.

First a 6 story hotel, then an 8 story apartment...next thing you know we'll look like RICHMOND! Malcolm Brodie go home, George Harvie - please go away
