I moved to Ladner from West Vancouver 10 years ago to live in a "normal" quiet small village.
This is being destroyed day by day
with what is referred to as "necessary" and PROGRESS neither
having any regard for the historical value of this "quaint" place. Movie
makers will stop using us as a destination if this continues.
Leave well enough alone.

We have loved shopping and my family have come from North Vancouver for most of the decor need and upholstery.

As the 'people' of Ladner, we need our elected politicians to represent what 'we' want and need. Not what ventures they believe the city can make the most money from.

Do you have any idea what it’s like trying to find a rental in Ladner? The cost of renting? Why on earth would you build a hotel when Ladner needs more affordable housing. This is so stupid.

Don't destroy the character of Ladner's historic village. This is a historic village, not an urban centre. It is unacceptable that Delta City Council is taking on the roll of being a Developer - In the name of doing what is best for the community, you are wholly doing this for yourselves as council members and the private developers you favour over the people who actually live in the community. This shows complete disrespect for the people who live in this community. Appalling.

A six story hotel does not fit in the community plan. It does not fit the ambience of Ladner Village. A hotel can go elsewhere.
