I have lived in Ladner all my life and I have never seen a municipal government making decisions with out considering the tax payers and if they want our tax money to be spent on something that is not required

I strongly oppose the obvious bias of Delta City Council as far as supporting a hotel on Chisholm Street without any obvious consideration for other use of this property.

Please keep Ladner unique and quaint. Been living here for 53 years, my children and grandchildren live here too. Don’t need hotels. There is hotel in Tsawwassen and at Cascade Casino.

Revitalizing the waterfront does not need a hotel. The shops that were there were better than this proposal

I opose this development because is using tax payer money to build a hotel whoe operation os going to be given to an operator that will have earnings with our money. I would approve if the city operates it and the earnings come into the municipality projects such as improving sode walks

Ladner is rapidly losing its small town Canada feeling that makes it one of the last standing small communities in Metro Vancouver. Profit-driven developers will happily turn Ladner into skyscrapers if they think they can get away with it, and this area is dangerous tsunami territory. Not just from earthquakes, but landslides on Vancouver Island or an *underwater collapse of the Fraser River Delta* (the biggest threat imo) will, without warning, drown all of these floodlands we are rapidly densifying without building a single vertical flood refuge.
There are appropriate times and places for densifying, Ladner is NOT a good choice of location for densification; our roads are already crowded with far too many parked cars, our land is at sea level in earthquake territory (with rapidly expanding oil and gas infrastructure immediately upstream of us).
in 1700 the land dropped suddenly by multiple meters below sea level, Vancouver Island will NOT protect us from the sea. this will happen again eventually, and we are at the beginning of the danger zone in that regard (instances of the subduction quake take place between 300-900 years but there are many, many fault lines under us that we know little about).
Building these 6 story buildings is a slippery slope, and thats not a logical fallacy, They will use these 6 story buildings to later justify a 7 or 8 story building, or to justifying a bunch more 6 story buildings, until Ladner has been 'developed' (destroyed) by profit-driven megacorporations who don't care about our culture, our families, our infrastructure, our health, or our town.
The evictions of businesses and the secrecy of these public land transaction are also completely unacceptable, and this whole situation reeks of criminal corruption. We have organized crime in cahoots with developers, casinos, cartels, and the CCP running a major money laundering operation known as 'The Vancouver Model' (look up Sam Coopers book Willful Blindness) and this

This is not the right fit for downtown Ladner, with the Westshore Laylum not being rebuilt as a supportive retirement facility as originally planned this needs to be reconsidered

Building a hotel in downtown Ladner does not make sense. The casino has a hotel within a 10 minute drive. Are they going to compete for business?

This does not fit in keeping the heritage character of this beautiful village ,
