I think it's fundamentally a must for an unboxed junior who is under 16 years old and not giving them the opportunity to have a skills bout before putting them straight into a normal bout isn't a great idea.

I think skill bouts are a great way of getting the boxer used to the occasion, it also prepares them for being able to take instruction under pressure of a busy venue... it can be daunting having your first fight in front of crowds of people

Discussed this has been passed without any communication to British Clubs and the trainers that give there time to help develop individuals in the art of boxing.
