Really bad rule, don’t seem any harm with skill bouts should be any age not even capped at 16

Skills bouts are important in the development of less confident boxers

As a coach I think skills bouts are a very important stage for beginners.

Skills bouts should be available for all ages, helps keep people safe and allows the gradual introduction into full bouts

Skills matches are a great way to introduce boxers into the world of boxing. It can be a lonely place in a ring and doing the ring walk ect. By using skills bouts it gets young boxers primed for when/if they progress into full bouts.

Skills contests are invaluable to help develop young boxers and also to help overcome any fears of boxing in front of a large crowd

This will affect the majority of my club's members, and I can see a few walking away from the sport. We've got some kids who have been working towards skills bouts for a couple of years now, as when they started they were overweight, low on confidence etc and a skills bout was something for them to aim for, and they have worked hard for it. Now that endgoal has gone. No doubt that this will be a common theme across the country. How you've come to this decision EB is baffling, and I do wonder how many of those who've been involved in the decision making process have actually put on a pair of gloves in anger.

There are many many boxers over the age of 13yrs what need skill bouts. Also there are many many young children who only may get to skills but it gives them an opportunity to get into a boxing ring....

Just poor, a bad decision to change it, bad timing, poor process... Chronic :-(

Unbelievable decision that will fundamentally effect the progression and development of junior boxers to potentially achieving Olympic oppporrunity at the same level of other countries and may also damage aspirations of some who wish to progress to professional status.

Absolutely ridiculous , how will this encourage kids into boxing ? Skills bouts are absolutley vital to the development of all juniors not just under 13's .

Consultation with all clubs and a notice would of been appreciate. Some of my boxers will have a delay in their development due to this change

My whole club is fully behind this petition and fully against the decision to remove skills bouts for 12+. Without any warning.
