Reinstatement of Remediation & Enhanced Student Study Support

We need exam reviews and exam prep sessions so that we can better understand the content of our exams and what we need to study for!! We need to be provided a FAIR opportunity to pass our nursing classes!!

As a student we would benefit from reviews prior to exams. As students we have a lot of information to take in and reviews prior to the exam help us focus on the ton of information we have.

The school is going through growing pains, and it’s beyond evident by the students. Something needs to be done, the fact that this was taken away in the first place shows the true colors of the school and how much they care for their students. The school should want us all the pass, it looks better for Joyce that way anyways!

Remediation exams for points. Other cohorts get them. You took them away so that we have to spend more to attend

Please bring back remediations and exam reviews with PowerPoints. This semester has been so hard with all the information that even with all my studying, I am failing! Eek

This policy needs to be reverted ASAP. I’m finishing this August from the program and very thankfully this does not affect me! But the opportunity to take a remediation even for just 5 points has saved me so much heartache and struggle and gave me the opportunities to study the topics that I missed on my exams which was absolutely crucial and beneficial to my success. Taking away remediation options will NOT be beneficial to the future cohorts and I find this to be outright disgusting to take away opportunities from them especially when it could make or break their future.

This is a ridiculous idea to stop remediations unless you are going to do appropriate reviews for the exam. This is a money grabbing technique and holding back capable and hard working people. The classes are expensive enough without deliberately causing people to be held back. Not to mention there are ofhen mistakes on the exams. The margin is too close to not help these students!

If they refuse to do the remediation, they should lower how much the grades effect the class

Bring back the remediations!!

There is a troubling lack of accountability and consistency within the Joyce curriculum, reflecting a pattern of decisions that appear to prioritize the financial interests of the university and certain individuals over the educational needs and success of the students. This manipulation of academic standards undermines the integrity of the program and the trust students place in their institution.

We need better preparation for tests.

Let’s help these students succeed. They are our future nurses and caregivers!

Please add the 08/26 cohort as many of us who were originally in the 04/26 cohort signed this. Remediation shouldn’t be offered to only some cohorts and then immediately taken away. Had we been given the same opportunity for remediation like them we would have passed certain course(s) instead of now paying thousands of dollars out of pocket. Show fairness and integrity across the board.

I am not as concerned about remediation but I would really like to see better exam reviews with more focused content.

We are hoping there is a re structuring or some new personnel to come in and change the face of Joyce. The student body is drowning and no one is listening. When half of a cohort fails classes, that means the students were not the problem. Now this semester classes are only an hour long, the teachers are only getting into 3 or 4 slides of content material and there is no real teaching going on, some teachers themselves half said an hour is not enough time to get through he lecture. Joyce is setting us up for failure.

Restore fairness

Don’t agree 100% but Joyce has been terrible at supporting its students and should do better by providing more guidance on how to succeed. It feels like Joyce is trying to prioritize their pockets over the student experience.
