The crime rate in South Africa has hit rocket high. There doesn't seem to end an end in sight. Crime just gets worst by the second. There is absolutely no value for human life anymore. Life in prison is a slap on the face as these heinous criminals are enjoying their lives within the prison walls.

Death penalty should be considered a punishment for heinous crimes as a means to protect the people of South Africa and their rights enshrined in the Constitution.I believe that the death penalty does not deprieve the right to life but entrenches it and appropriately punishes those that deprive others of that right.The Constitution should not be sighted as a cover for evildoers but a comfort to the majority of South African who put their trust in the judicary of this Country.
