Honestly, I feel if we re instate the death penalty we will have less crime in our country. Criminals will think twice about committing a crime knowing the consequences is death.

Death penalty for serious crimes should be reinstated. Criminals who rob innocent people of their lives and dignity should not be imprisoned but rather face the same fate that their victims suffered. The death penalty will bring down murders, rape and other serious offenses down.

We all live in our homes like we are in prison as we fear that day and night our houses will be broken into by violent criminals and thugs who break in at our houses terrorize us and steal our valuables even if we report to SAPS we don't get feedback on cases opened we don't hear about prosecution of criminals who terrorize us but we are told we mustn't take into our hands and punish criminals yet law enforcement agencies are not looking , find and arrest criminals if cases are opened and criminals continue daily to commit crimes as they know that there will be no consequences for committing crimes.
I therefore support that parliament and legislature must review the criminal laws and tighten the laws and impose heavier sentences to all those who commit crimes so that we can live safe and free in our houses .
It should be noted that with high cost of living, high unemployment rate not all of us can afford to pay for 25 security services and cameras to safeguard our houses and our valuables.
