At the time the death penalty was abolished, it was meant to address the injustice of the past. Now there is a dire need to bring back the death penalty to re- establish justice in this country. Criminals have become immune to the consequences of the law as there is nothing to fear. Prison is heaven. Parole is guaranteed. A criminal conviction is hero worshipped and rewarded. Enough is enough. Time to consider protection and justice for our innocent citizens of this country. We cannot live in fear anymore. The most appropriate deterrent is the death penalty. It is something criminals understand, as this is what they meet out to innocents. Hey! Look at the increase in contract killers. They almost freely available. A death penalty is the only option to free us from criminal anarchy. Everything else has failed already Period.
