I worked with Jody at Washington Elementary in Boise. He was the PE teacher. He worked well with my class, was a pleasure to work with and through personal conversations knew how hard he worked and the pride he took in his wrestling duties at Capital High. I am saddened by the actions the BSD has taken, especially if no wrong doing was proven. How hard this must be. Thoughts to your family and you.

Coach Webb has been nothing but a positive influence for many young athletes and students during his many years at Capital. He has always been supportive of and a positive influence for our son who began wrestling just a few years ago even though our son has never wrestled for his club. I support Jody, and his loss would be felt across the Wrestling community of Idaho, but more importantly would be his loss as an educator at Capital High where his positive influence is so needed!!

I have known Jody and his family for many years and he also coached my middle son. He saved my son!!! He really turned him around with wrestling. He is now a Korean Linguist for the Army. He has a wonderful family and children. I can never thank Jody enough for what he did. Jody is also our neighbor and he, his wife and children are the best. They are constantly out helping the elderly in our neighborhood. Jody practices and shows by example the things he teaches the teenagers at Capitol High School. We have all been blessed to have him in our lives and in the lives of our children. You need to reinstate him and pray that he stays!!!

Coach Webb did absolutly nothing wrong. This whole thing is absolutly unacceptable and the district should feel ashamed and embarrased for putting this man, his family, athletes, and students through this.

I wrote a comment on the Statesman online "comment" under the story today (Jan. 8) and I made it clear of my (and many other retired Capital teachers and coaches) observations and feelings. You need to continue to pursue your legal rights. We support you and your family. Sorry to read and hear about this obvious over-reach and poor leadership judgment by my district where I put in 37 years.

Coach Webb is the best youth mentor I have ever been around. This would be a loss to the wrestling community, but more importantly a loss to the student-athletes at Capital High School. This is a man that truly cares about the students and what they become in life.

I got to know Jody better when we were both assistant coaches for our sons' Optimist football team. Our sons have gone on to play several other sports together over the years and I have been impressed with Jody's dedication to sport and his caring and selfless attitude towards the players and their families. Jody is a good man who possesses the type of moral character we want the youth within our educational system to be around.

Jody has done wonderful things for my sons. He's always had the best interest of the kids, working tirelessly to keep the sport of wrestling alive. It is very sad to see this happen to the kids, the school and the Webb family.
