I think we should find a better way to save money then putting officer or civilian in jeopardy.

Hershey is valuable to SLC and the unit should be reinstated. I would be willing to donate to a fund to pay for expenses.

I grew up in St. Lawrence County. Most of my relatives live there. I am also an animal lover. Hershey is not just an animal. He is an officer of the law. If he were a human, this would be looked at more unjust. Please let Hershey continue his career. After all, kids are talked to about McGruff the crime dog. Let Hershey go into schools and teach at a young age about how things shouldn't be done. Many children relate to dogs.

K-9 unit is essential for the battle against drugs! Our area needs to utilize this unit more, instead of making cut backs!

I believe the community was responsible for buying Hershey for the Sheriffs Department. They should have a say in Hersheys fate. I vote we let Hershey and Deputy Ashley do their jobs.
