I have been a teacher since 1999. I love the teaching profession and I think younger teachers deserve the same opportunities as our co-workers who are doing the same job. It should be an option for all or an option for none.

Please bring back the rule of 90. Working in a middle school setting until I am 66 does not seem feasible to me. The students won't want teachers that are tired, stressed and have hearing problems.

Teachers should be able to retire after 30 plus years of service. Now teachers are forced into later and later years of teaching. Who wants a 65 year old teaching first graders? Leave this to the younger teachers!

The former Rule of 90 may not be the best fit for today's teachers, but something similar that allows for veteran teachers to retire and make way for younger teachers should be reconsidered. There is far too much burn out and the thought of teaching for 43 years just to retire without penalty is scary for the teacher and for the students.

I don't understand why it would be reduced. This is money WE pay in and is matched by our employer. It is our only retirement benefit provided by the employer. If the public knew the facts about this, I think there would be more public support.

YES! I started teaching a bit late which would mean that I would have to teach PAST age 66! I would like to retire while I can still be active please!
