In the addition to traditional rule of 90, please consider additional retirement options for teachers that have entered the teaching profession as a second career choice bringing additional experience to the table and filling subjects that were in high need of teachers. Also consider how we can value experienced teachers with experience from other states or private schools.

We need to be the leaders in how to treat employees for all that struggle with these challenges.

This is a high priority for me. Please bring it back. I plan to work many years but don't want to be punished if I retire at 60 or 62.

It's inequitable to have two separate systems. Without this change, I will have to teach for 44 years before I can retire. At the current rate of continual addition of responsibilities and the corresponding mental and emotional toll, I'll be lucky to still know my own name at that point. Is that really going to be what's best for kids?

My dad was burned out after 30 years of teaching and was thankful to be done at age 55. I can't imagine the how bad his migraines would have gotten if he was teaching another decade!

In the first few years of my teaching career, I watched as colleagues retired from 35 years of teaching at at 55/56 years old. They couldn't wait to be done and I knew they deserved to be done at that point. I have been teaching for 20 years now, I know I cannot stomach another 24 years in order to get my full benefits! Teaching is a lot harder than it was even just 10 years ago. This job takes it's toll. Please reinstate the Rule of 90 for the rest of us!

The advantages here are fresh additions to staff at a budget-saving rate as well as burn-out avoidance.
