I would like to see the rule of 90 back however I don't I will be eligible for it as I didn't start teaching until 2003 at the age of 39. :{

Literally missed old version of rule by months. Needs to come back... and soon. What 11 year old wants to have a 70 year old teacher in his 48th year????

Reinstating the Rule of 90 for everyone in the profession would certainly be a positive, for both students and teachers. We need to keep fresh teachers in the classroom, and allow the districts to get some of the high-end wage earners off the payroll to help the budget situation. Reinstating the Rule of 90 for all would be a tremendous boost for our profession.

The expectations for teachers keeps on raising, while compensation is lowering; hence our shortage of high quality teachers. Reinstating the rule of 90 will be a step in the right direction of letting people know we value our teachers

I can't imagine having the energy to do this in my late 60's. Plus, as a choir/music teacher, modeling with my voice is an important tool. I already hear my voice wearing out and I'm only half-way through my career.
