I will have nearly 40 years of service before I will not have a penalty for retirement. We have to make the profession more attractable to young people to help with the teacher shortage.

This is a must, other state agencies have retirement before a rule of 90.

The mix of seasoned educators with youthful new teachers is imperative to a quality schooling for the youth of Minnesota. The reinstatement of the rule of 90 is whats best for our schools. It's what's best for our kids.

Please reinstate rule of 90. I cannot imagine having the physical capacity to do the same quality elementary lessons and activities as I do today in my 30s. Students would be better served by younger teachers than older teacher in aged bodies.

I love my job and cannot imagine right now not being a full-time teacher! However, at 44, the thought of continuing this level of physical and mental stress for 22 more years is overwhelming! I agree, to retire with the Rule of 90 would open the classrooms to the new teachers coming in, which would honestly best serve our students. In addition, it would allow the retirement-aged, experienced teachers to remain in the classroom if they choose; in areas such as mentoring or reserving. Thank you for reinstating the Rule of 90 for the best interest of both teachers and students in Minnesota.

Please reinstate the Rule of 90. It will allow young, energetic teachers to fill the positions of those who are past their prime.

This must be reinstated to support the educators who have devoted their lives to kids. Some of us missed the original rule era by only a year or two. That doesn't feel fair or right! Thank you!

This job, while very rewarding, has become more difficult. Anything that might attract and hold quality teachers to the profession should be considered.

Being in a high stress career makes it tough to be at the top of your game for such an extended period. Reinstating rule of 90, would mean that people could retire when they need to without penalty, and that there would be more opportunities for new teachers to step in. More new teachers may enter the profession again with benefits such as the rule of 90.

Please reinstate the Rule of 90. Not only does it help the veteran teachers, it also helps the younger teachers gain the opportunity to start their career.

Please support educators. This could be one more incentive to keep teachers in the classroom.

The rule of 90 is essential for students and educators. Educators need to be at top of their game and the high demands of education today is difficult to maintain until you are 66. I believe it benefits both the educators and students.
