I meet rule of 90 and feel that's it's an important incentive for teacher to be dedicated to finishing their career as a teacher.

Thank you for taking on this action. I was one of the lucky people that just missed the rule of 90. I feel that it is a valuable benefit for all involved. I can't imagine that I will be as effective at the age of 66 for my students. I also think that the school district will have to make cuts because teachers will be working for much longer due to this, and won't be paying starting salaries. Have you considered contacting Minnesota School Board Association to see if they would stand behind us?

Please reinstate the Rule of 90. It is truly in the best interest of students, families and teachers. Times have changed and the teaching industry has GREATLY changed!! We need to realize that we need staff that are able to keep up with current trends in education for our nation's development. There are many outstanding teacher candidates out there just waiting to fulfill positions that are currently being held by teachers that are ready to retire.

Rule of 90 is an important step in the retirement process. Without the Rule of 90: I will be 66 years old (with life expectancy at 76.4 (Males, 2011 Study U.S. Center for Disease and Prevention), that would only give me 10 years of retirement) and have 41 years of service. With the Rule of 90: I will be 57 years old and have 33 years of service. I can't imagine being an effective teacher at age 66. Please reinstate the Rule of 90 as it will benefit students, staff, and schools.

I have been paying the retirement benefits of others that enjoy the rule of 90 which is not offered to me. At age sixty I will have taught and paid into TRA for thirty years. 30 years alone should make on eligible for full benefits, as those before me currently enjoy.

Bring back the rule of 90. Our current teachers are paying for the mistakes made by TRA years ago when they gave out enormous raises and didn't properly amortize those payments over the life expectancy of those retirees.

I was hired the summer of 1989 and just missed the Rule of 90. It's amazing how many more years I'll have to work before I can retire now. Wouldn't it be best for students, staff and school districts to get older teachers out of the system (with higher pay) and move new teachers into those positions (with starting salaries)?

Please reinstate the Rule of 90. I missed it by 2 months. I feel the teaching profession needs this in place. Thank you!

I am almost 60 and struggle regularly with the question: can I make it to age 66 because of the mental stress which affects my physical stamina.
