I leveraged this feature daily to keep my group productive and happy. No I'm limited to deletion, but we don't want to necessarily do that. I usually used it when a negative disucssion was dominating the group to allow those taking part to continue but not derail the rest of the group!

What is the point of being a group admin if you can't hide posts? I have a multiple poster on the same subject that I do not want to alienate either by blocking the posts or deleting them. As it stands the posts are dominating everything.

Why would Facebook remove a feature that is so useful to group admins? With so many smart people working at Facebook I sometimes wonder who is allowed to make these decisions.

I am seriously considering not using FB until this is resolved. I want to have control over what is on my page.

I have no particular desire not to allow people to comment on photo albums posted to the group, but I don't want individual pictures cluttering the wall every time someone posts a new comment.

Hide function was better to have since it keeps the peace on the page.

I used the "Hide" button regularly to keep the page reasonably tidy & uncluttered, and to help members see the newer & more relevant posts more easily. Please please reinstate it.

we need hide button in groups so when we sell out of something we can hide until restocked! Please bring it back!

I am an admin on a Facebook group that has given free swim lessons for the past 7 summers in an impoverished community. I keep scheduling and attendance as a file in our volunteer group. I used to be able to take daily attendance as well as make schedule adjustments and then immediately Hide Post so that the entire group didn't receive a notification. I don't want them receiving notifications several times each day as I edit this file because they start ignoring the notifications. Then, when I post an announcement that I DO need everyone to read, they ignore it because they assume that it is another editing of the files. Please bring back Hide Post!!!

Facebook - please pay attention to the admins - reinstate the much needed feature to admins for hiding posts and photos. It is necessary to keep interest in our group by removing unnecessary clutter on the group wall.
