This is a transparent attempt to stifle opposing voices rather than engage them and attempt to refute their arguments. Shame on the committee for capitulating.

The panel needs to have all dietary information presented and Nina Teicholz has the knowledge to do that.

I suggested a Harvard MD to replace myself (understanding that the panelists might feel I had insufficient stature), but when they nixed that guy and went for a potato industry flack instead, I realized that they just couldn't tolerate alternative views. Not acceptable!

Ms. Teichholz has very relevant and significant information to contribute to the panel, just as she did before the Canadian Senate Committee last year. Invite her back so that there can be seen to a modicum of balance for defense against the corporate assault on truth with the other representatives.

Nina - such a clear thinking and well informed lady. How can it be right to take her off any Food Policy Panel?

Nina Teicholz should absolutely be reinstated on this panel. She is an expert in her field, and she deserves to be heard. If you are true scientists, you need to be willing to hear about all the research. It is a sad state if affairs if want to continue to keep your head buried in the sand while epidemics of obesity, diabetes and heart disease ravage the world thanks to over 30 years of bad dietary advice. Replacing her with someone from the potato council? Really?!?

The National Food Policy Conference Cronies and lobbyists are so afraid to have a real scientific discussion that they uninvited the opposition, Nina Teicholz!
Nina and others might still be able to attend... that is unless they selectively uninvite audience members as well. Here's where to register: http://consumerfed.org/cfa_events/national-food-policy-conference/

I am reading Nina's book right now and I am very impressed with her thorough research into how we ended up being recommended a diet that is far from the diet that we evolved eating. It is essential that she is included on the Food Policy Panel to provide a balanced look at how food affects our health.

Inclusion should be based upon merit and validity. All panelists should show good manners towards other panelists. This indeed, is reform... and not a "popularity contest"... or is it???

Are you frightened of the true nutritional advice and science becoming known? Instead of the fake science perpetuated by food industry representatives who have nothing but profits in mind.
The truth must be heard!
Keep it honest!
