Please reinstate Nina. It's vital that someone with her knowledge and understanding of nutrition is on the panel.

For a supposedly balanced debate, it is disappointing that an invited participant has been removed simply for having alternate views. Worse still, to be replaced by an industry figure for the potato industry (likely far from partial) is a good example of why the dietary guidelines are unlikely to be evidence-based any time soon.

Nina is one of the most important voices in modern nutrition. Her opinion must be heard if we are ever to reverse the current disastrous nutrition guidelines that are the cause of growing ill health across the globe.

Please reinstate Mrs. Teicholz! It is a total injustice to disinvite her. I am sharing this far and wide and with the media. I strongly urge you to reconsider and reinstate your invitation.

From Oxfordshire, England. Pupils health policy should be deliberated over by scientists and academics. Not industry who seek to make money off unknowing public.

Nina is such a clued up lady re nutrition ! It is disgusting that her appearance has been cancelled. The powers that be who did that should be ashamed of themselves.

Have you had a recent look at how science that has guided public health policy and received wisdom in the media - from social psychology to salt - has been reviewed, questioned and found wanting? You owe it to the public to include a diverse set of voices, and to include credible voices like Nina Teicholz who have shown how differently the history of nutritional science can be read. Really, the whole world (I am in South Africa) is gobsmacked by this move, this transparent move to silence alternate interpretations or understandings of science.

Include those with differing opinions in these important discussions.

It is so important to get this right as other countries follow the US lead on this, and any guidelines need to be based on the science not the self interest of big corporations.

Reinstate Nina. We're sick of industry reps calling the shots all the time.
