I grew up in the gymnastics program at Stewartville. It helps many girls and boys to find them self and to have something they can be passionate about. Many students need this time away from home to do something that keeps them physically and mentally healthy.

Stewartville Gymnastics shaped the path I'm on today. I took my first community ed class at age 6 - I still remember my daycare provider walking me there. It's where I first learned body awareness, confidence, teamwork, and how to set and reach goals. Gymnastics has the power to change lives, not just as athletes, but as people. It would be a huge loss for the community not to have access to that.

To take this away so abruptly is so heartbreaking please reconsider your decision for our kids and the joy and hard work they have dedicated to this sport.

I am a Grandma of a gymnastic athlete & enjoy watching ALL the girls preform & get more confidence with each performance. They deserve to continue with confidence & support from their fans & Stewie spirit!!

My daughter has been dreaming about joining the team as she has never been able to take classes because they fill up so fast! She has a few years left before being old enough! Please don't take this away from her or any other young girl who dreams to join!

Gymnastics is such a great sport itself and is also often a spring board into other sports. Children can start gymnastics early and learn body control, flexibility, and balance while gaining strength. Key ingredients to success in all sports. It would be a real shame if the Stewartville community loses its school gymnastics program. It would also be terrible if classes were no longer offered by community education. It’s unfortunate this decision was hidden versus providing an opportunity for fundraising or increasing community education classes to gain profits.
