Love the pictures Linda Motes shares with us of this exquisite place. Feel as though I’ve been there.

As one can see by my comment above if Covid 19 is the only reason the lagoons are said to be closed ( which I doubt) that is ridiculous given all the space there. Everyone is much more informed now about social distancing than we all were say??? 2 months ago. Folks need places out in nature where they can relax during this time!

The people of Frankfort/ Clinton county deserve, need ,and appreciate family friendly recreation places! Partnering with community volunteers and having fundraisers to help with upkeep etc. might be an option to think about to put an end to the need for keeping such a great place closed. ( That if funds and lack of management/ liability is the issue)

I feel like the golf course is open why shouldn’t we be able to walk and enjoy nature at the lagoons. That’s not something you do in groups of people

The lagoons should be open and taken better care of. We don't ask for a lot just open then and maintain them

Please reopen the Lagoons So many people enjoy their time there and the wildlife get the attention they deserve.

I understand the need to keep social distancing. I also understand with everything closing there is limited activity. If the concern at this time is the flood of people going out there disturbing the wildlife or destroying it. Then is it possible to ask for volunteers to maintain observations and enforce the social distancing? I don’t know, but please open the Lagoons!

As an avid bird/nature watcher and photographer, I've been more than disappointed at the closing of The Lagoons. It's currently spring migration for birds and we are really missing out on this peaceful location for this bird watching hot spot. Also, even before the onset of Covid-19, we have never seen anyone at this location who was within 6 feet of another stranger. There's no community building, no public bathrooms, (only port a pots), no nature center, no bait shop, no playground, nothing at all where folks need to mingle. There are two picnic table areas far away from each other and no fisherman I know of wants to be 6 feet near anyone else fishing anyway, like ever. We really miss this place and cannot wait to merely take a spin or two around the ponds while social distancing with the windows down while the heating temps soothe us as they squash covid-19. Please open up ~ A sincere nature lover. Please and thank you.

If you can keep the golf courses open, no reason to keep the Lagoons closed.

Lagoons should have never been closed they had no legitimate reason for closing them
