Music ministry is a very important part of any worship institution. Please restore this precious ministry which speaks to everyone.

No mass should be without the beautiful, and joyful music to accompany it.

There is no St Martin's without Peter Schubart. His amazing talents brought and kept many parishioners there. Bring him back. His loyalty and dedication to the parish was unsurpassed.

My Dad got me involved in the music ministry at St Martin of Tours Church at a very young age and motivated me to be an active member of the parish. My musical involvement at the Church has been a huge part of my life.

I wish to have Peter reinstated

Singing under the direction of Peter Schubart has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career, both personally and professionally. He is not only a brilliant and talented musician, but also one of the kindest and most compassionate leaders I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I began cantoring at St. Martin 15 years ago, my first professional singing job when I was still a college student. Today, I am a professional touring soloist, and I can say with complete confidence that I would not be the musician I am today without Peter's influence. There are countless other lives he would similarly touch and change for the better if he were reinstated. Please reinstate Peter as Music Director, so he can keep doing these good works.

There is no St. Martin's Parish without Peter Schubart!!

Peter’s remarkable talent, dedication, and generosity should be recognized and honored by church leadership. Peter’s work has brought so much beauty, grace, and light to so many (myself included) for so many years. He should be reinstated immediately!

Peter is a gifted musician who has been a staple at church for many years. His position needs to be reinstated for the good of the parish and the community that has grown to love and appreciate all he has brought to the celebration of mass.

So sorry to hear this situation. Peter deserves better. He gave so many wonderful Years to St Martin.

Peter has done a wonderful job for over 30 years at St Martin’s. It’s a great loss to the parish.

"Singing Is Praying Twice"

This must have been a difficult decision for the church, with many factors involved. The pandemic affected many businesses, and cuts were widespread across all industries. St. Martin's, however, is not just a business - it is a faith community. Peter's music was an integral part of our faith. The inspiration and joy that he brought us was priceless - the loss of which simply cannot be summed up as a business decision or a budget cut. It is a heartbreak - particularly since his family has been part of the parish for decades. We knew this Christmas would be different. No crowded masses; no concert; no thunderous Hallelujah chorus to bring us into Christmas. We were ready for that this year - but we were not ready for the news that Peter Schubart will never be back to share his music with us again. I am hopeful that a compromise can be reached that will meet the needs of the church, and reinstate Peter Schubart.

Peter Schubart has been a superb musical leader and a genius in gathering talent during the big holiday.
