Teachers are not changing the curriculum to match our circumstances. This is ridiculous. How are honor students now failing

This virus has cause many students to be under extra stress trying to do classes via video or online and not have the in class instructions and interaction with other students. These students did not sign up for these kinds of classes. I’m not seeing these institutions giving any breaks with their fees and this is a stressed as well. Thank you for giving these students a way to keep their desire to continue their education by having this Pass/Fall option.

My freshman and my junior are struggling! My juniors professors see this as an opportunity to assign double the work. Not a happy momma!

We're in a pandemic. College students are struggling with work and teaching ourselves classes. Something has to give.

Some exceptions need to be made for these kids considering their entire college experience has been compromised by this virus and it’s restrictions. For those that have endured this hell should be rewarded by reinstating this option.

This semester has been terrible. I don’t think I’ve ever been this stressed out and confused all in one semester especially not in multiple class.

I am signing this petition to reinstate passs/fail as this semester still makes it challenging with most of the courses being continued online.

This semester has not been normal and has been significantly more difficult by covid 19

UA’s curriculum hasn’t much changed since last April, yet the standards are very different despite similar circumstances. This semester feels like a double standard against all students who didn’t graduate last May.

If spring of 2019 received pass/fail due to a change in their academic instruction so should fall of 2020. Many of us have planned to take the classes we are in from the start, classes that we may not have taken if online instruction was laid out from when we made our 4 year plans.

I have struggled with mental health a lot during this time and it has negatively affected my work.

It may seem whiny or like students are looking for a way dodge personal accountability (& some still may be), but I cannot stress enough how much more stressful this semester has been than any other one. The anxiety and frustration of being forced to either be borderline obsessive about organization & tracking the multitude of platforms & apps each different professor uses for assignments, exams, project information, etc. would have been enough to induce anxiety even without the pandemic. Some apps/ sites I now HAVE TO check/ use pretty much daily (all are used at LEAST every other day with some multiple times daily and others like BB and email, accessed 10-20x or more daily) to keep up with my class flows: Gmail, OutLook, GradeScope, BlackBoard Announcements, BlackBoard Collaborate, BlackBoard Calendar, Google Calendar, GroupMe, Slack, my TEXT MESSAGES (hate this), Scheduler, Microsoft Teams, Trello, a VPN for a project class where I work with a company, Flutter, GitHub, VSCode, UDemy, MatLab, ChemCAD, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Cengage, RedShelf, the weird web PDF textbook I have for one class, and... of course... UA HealthCheck. Last semester, I was using BlackBoard and some of those engineering softwares occasionally... and that was it. We had to replace face to face communication, normal canid class conversations, and the underrated support of being able to turn to a classmate and ask a quick question during a confusing segment of a lecture. I'm not asking for easy A's (wouldn't have picked my major if so) & I'm hyperaware of how extremely lucky it is that my biggest challenge right now STILL doesn't even include trying to work a job or multiple to pay rent/tuition on top of all of the wasted time on the 20 platforms I have to stare at all day. Not all students are so lucky- please listen to them. I don't even think I'd take any P/F classes- I'm on track to do well enough that I'm not worried about losing a scholarship or anything this semester- but the

Classes that were originally in-class got switched to online. And honestly classes are going awfully with teachers not being used to administering their classes online.

It is ridiculous that your students have to beg for this option amidst a pandemic

If we are getting the same experience as last semester. Than that should reflect the grading process.
