Reinstate the Pass/Fail Option for the Fall Semester at the University Of Alabama

The inconsistencies in hybrid classes are glaring and support for students with a technology disadvantage is almost nonexistent.

Online classes leaves engineering students at a disadvantage due to the lack of in-person contact to communicate with teachers, TA’s, and tutors that are available through the university being in-person.

Please

Online classes can be a struggle when you are taking a class that needs more in person help. For example Cal III. Sometimes it is easier to understand when you can ask for help when in person.

As a parent my students classes are all online and he struggles with learning in that format. Very difficult to even have office hours or have significant assistance due to the format.

The workload has stayed the same or increased for all my classes while going exclusively online. This semester feels more strenuous and stressful than last semester, so a pass/fail option would be great for all the struggling students right now.

The workload seems higher while the ability to learn and comprehend seems to have dropped a significant amount due to the online transition. Please reinstate the pass fail option.

I am a parent of a student who struggles with a learning disability. Signed up for in-person classes. All but one are online now.

Do it. For the fam!

If you are not good at online learning then the school is just wanting you to fail or make a bad grade so that you have to retake the test. They want you to have to spend more money on classes rather than helping us get to our career goals.

all my classes are online even though that wasnt what i was told it’d be. it is just as hard or even harder than last semester

As an educator, I know the importance of in-person instruction. During these challenging, unprecedented times, students should have the option of converting grades to pass/fail.

this would be very helpful considering we are all basically teaching ourselves in basically all online classes

I agree. Too much screen time and lack of personal interaction between peers and professors is taking a toll on myself and my colleagues.
