Absolutely appalling situation, brought about by mismanagement at a local level. LOM and DLA's should resign immediately.

The events that have happened in New Brighton prove that the present crew cannot cope. There were no such incidents when the original experienced crew were there. Reinstate them. There will be a tragic incident on the river and the RNLI will have to explain themselves. Do not let this happen.

They need to get shut of those clowns they call the new management, as soon as possible. The River Mersey has very unique and tricky waters. Some thing are always going to be best left to the experts. Reinstate our skilled crew! Oh and how the management must be proud of sinking the RNLI tractor! Truly cringeworthy. Lives could have been lost due to errors, and bad judgements.

My son met the voluntary life boat crew at new Brighton hovercraft station and they were fantastic, he loved it.
it was so sad to hear that the people that were so passionate about the service that they delivered as volunteers were told that they were no longer needed, and now look at the place.
why would you get rid of volunteers, they never even got paid and we're always on call, they were all so happy they loved doing it and that is what you need to be great at something the voluntary crew were -excuse the pun-LIFESAVERS.....
I support the ex voluntary crew 100%, I think they deserve a apology and you should reinstate them....
This was a long time coming..
