How can these brainless managers be allowed to put lives at risk.you need people who know this river and the strong tides we encounter around this piece of coast.time is critical in winter when falling in.good luck with your fight for reinstatement

The RNLI doan excellent job. we can only assume that a "professional manager" has been brought in, and s(he) is probably intellectually more suited to cleaning the toilets in the lifeboat station

Don't be such a f*****g idiot - the RNLI has actively turned down government funding in the past, from all parts of the political spectrum, in order to avoid them meddling in their business.
I understand that meatheads like you will take any chance to blame the "evil tories" for everything, but do some research, if you are intellectually up to it, before posting party political diatribes.

There should be a lifeboat crew in New Brighton. Lives will be lost without one.

It's the brave men and women who volunteer up and down the whole of the UK who save lives not the out of touch bean counting suits.

As a supporter of the RNLI for many years, I am very disappointed that my hard earned donations seem to be being lost due to the poor handling of the situation at the New Brighton station. What a waste.

There are now more dangers than ever at new Brighton with more visitors and pubs. I used to be proud of our service now it's a joke
