Reinstate her. Ridiculous, you have kids running around, skipping classes, doing drugs, fighting, and a teacher says one curse word and you suspend her. Vance County I am ashamed of how far your school system has fallen, and SVHS, I wish I could say I am a proud alumni, but I am so saddened that you are failing in your efforts to educate this generation of students.

As a parent I have walked the halls and stood outside of schools with my kids and grandkids and the language and the things I have heard and seen is just so unreal. So if you are gonna let a good teacher go then you need to suspend lots of students!!!!

She shouldn't have gotten suspended because others teachers have said worse things and they're still working and students cuss all the time and they don't get suspended for it or punished so why do it to her, how is she any different from everybody else

I am stunned and saddened by this decision. I was a former Vance County Schools Guidance Counselor and neighbor of hers for twelve years. No one is more dedicated to teaching and to its effects on her students. It seems that the punishment that has already occurred is more than enough. No wonder dedicated people leave education in pursuit of another field, as I did. Please think of the bigger picture.

If you're going to suspend her for using the word ass, then you MUST suspend all students who use the highly offensive "F" word!! Her suspension is ridiculous!

Better than any other professor/teacher I ever had. If saying ass offends and is strictly enforced you wouldn't have a student body at Southern.

Can't we all learn how to be adults? People say "inappropriate" words, but we all live. It's just a word and more fowl language is used online and social media that can be way more damaging.
