I had her when I was in high school. She is one of the sweetest most loving teachers and she deserves to have her job without punishment. There's plenty of other teachers who deserve to be fired but they aren't! Mrs. Wiggins would never mean any harm to any student!

I don't personally know her, but my fiancé and friends that have had her seem to think the world of her. I don't think I would ever have a job if it got judged on saying a curse word here or there. Shame on VCS, the principal of SVHS, the student that came forward with just a dumb tattle and anyone that may have supported her being suspended. Lame asses.

Have known Mrs. Wiggins for 10+ years. Didn't have her as a teacher but she's one of the best people/teachers I know. Getting suspended for saying "ass" is beyond ridiculous. Walk the halls at NVHS/SVHS and you hear and see a lot worse. Shame on your Superintendent Jackson.

I'm a Vance County native, left for 20 yrs. came back and taught in Vance Co. for 27 yrs., and this is a new low for Vance County Schools. I taught on the same hall with Sandra and watched her grow into a top notch history teacher who was and is loved by her students. Dr Jackson, you need to know your staff. Sandra Wiggins is one of the brightest spots we have in the Vance County Schools and the individual that brought this situation to your attention has been one of the biggest "THORNS" in the side of Vance County Schools for years. Dr. Jackson I'm sorry you will now probably have to replace her next year with someone that is not as qualified. Put a letter in here file, but a 5 day suspension, come on?

I am a graduate of SVHS "14 & Ms.Wiggins is the absolute best. Taking her away ruins some of Southern tradition, just saying. I pray she keeps her job & continue doing great things.

Good teachers are hard to find apparently she's great at her job she has being doing it for over 20yrs and have a strong caring relationship with her students. Bring her back this is uncalled for!!!

So here am I ..... so confused that I can't pull it out of my a$$.... Why on earth, with all the troubled kids, hatred, and the lowest on the totem pole grades in the whole entire state on issues involving drugs, teen pregnancy, school drop-outs and such that some "School Political Correct" cabinet would spend their time on such silliness instead of focusing what the real problems of today entitle... You took God out of the classroom, the ten commandments off the walls of our court rooms and yet you know have the audacity to go to the totally other end of the spectrum and find fault there... Please make up your minds as to what the "REAL" issue is and be careful and mindful of your judging... The word "ass" may not be as harmful as you think... I consider myself educated... and was top 10% of my graduating class... My Daddy told me many a time that he was gonna whoop mine... Some things are not personal...but simply fact... and I think this lady, whom I've never met, never meant to cause emotional or physical harm... Get over yourselves already... In God I Trust!!!!!

This so unfair for her students more so than her. All students have loved her and Ms. Wiggins is a great teacher. It is so wrong of Vance Co to suspend her over a student that does not even live in Vance Co. and the fact that her father grandfather or whoever he claims to be is able to csuse this. This man has caused enough problems in Vance Co.

I'm sure they do not even suspend kids for 1 day that use far worse language!
