I’m really hoping Miguel will be re-hired. To me he is a “fixture” at OP and as noted in the other comments knowledgeable with his work and extremely positive. I think the club loses a lot if he is not part of it.

Miguel has always been extremely friendly and helpful to my wife Lynn and myself, If not for him i would have been shopping elsewhere. OPRC needs to reconsider his termination and bring him back.

We need him back at Op. He is one of several employees we the members can count on to do a good job.

I have known Miguel for 16 years and he has always greeted me by name and with a smile. We need more people like this at OP, which has always had strong family values, or at least it used to. Let’s try to get back to that!

What is our Club’s objective? To provide a high quality tennis facility and environment that creates a positive experience FOR THE MEMBERS. And in that regard, Miguel was a huge-added value to the club. He was one of the few employees who was friendly and greeted every member in a positive way and was familiar with the products offered in the pro shop. He was the exclusive provider of the specs of the racquets and required stringing. It is a huge mistake for a club of our echelon to not have a skilled service person in the racquet/stringing department. My family has been in the specialty retail business for 30+ years, and would never terminate a loyal employee that was as qualified as Miguel without considering his value to the members. My recommendation would be for the management/board to invest the time to meet with Miguel and re-evaluate their decision so he may resume his role at OP. Certainly someone who has been an employee for 19 years is doing something right. That’s not to say that the fault isn’t shared, but seems as if there might have been other options available.

Miguel has always been fantastic about helping members with the details and complexities of testing and selecting new tennis equipment including rackets, strings, accessories and more. He is a valuable asset to the Club and Membership. This termination action should be reconsidered.

Miguel is a great guy. One of our favorites. This is bad.

By circumstances described, this should not have transpired.

I have never known OPRC, other than as a club that employed Miguel. He always gave me great service and always with a smile! Please know that he is valued and missed...maybe his status could be reconsidered??

Miguel has always gone above and beyond for my family and me. He has always been extremely kind and helpful at OPRC. I’m very sad to see the need for this petition but I encourage the management at oprc to reconsider.
