Please reinstate masks to keep our children, families and teachers safe.

Please bring masks back to school, for medically fragile kiddos. They deserve education too!

The numbers are getting too high. We need them back!

We could have been done with this a year ago if people had any sense of community and personal responsibility. We sat in a line of cars for hours on Sunday after being contacted that we may be infected. Again. What "freedom" thuggery don't understand is, their so-called freedom, is taking other people's away. The ultimate in selfishness and entitlement. Mask mandates are what intelligent, science-based orgs are asking for. Stop capitulating to loud, violent anti-masking cabal. It's time to end this.

OC Schools infection rates remained low through the fall while masks were required. This allowed the business of school to persist. It seems logical to me to enact the policy that raises the probability of school staying in session and learning staying on course.

Please take this step to protect our children and their families.

Get those masks back on until early March - or spring break!

Email sent as well. We live in Oldham and are honestly shocked that the board has not yet chosen to go back to a mandate. We have a 20% positivity rate.

I graduated this past June, and I am so glad previous Superintendent Schultz followed the science, kept mask mandates in schools, and wasn’t afraid to close schools when necessary (a majority of the time). Now, it’s clear Oldham County Schools has moved away from the science based approach and follows a section of our community (which includes at least one of the board members) which believes masks are too much of an inconvenience. While I’m glad I no longer have to deal with this directly in the school system, I am still a resident and tax payer of Oldham County. What results from our community transmission will affect me. While schools are not solely the main modes of spread, they will increase that risk if they remain mask optional in the coming weeks. I have yet to catch COVID even though a family member in my household caught it. We used HEPA ventilation and masks and it didn’t spread through my household. These methods work and need to be implemented in our schools to help limit the spread of the Omicron variant.

Please bring back mask mandates. I need my child to be safe.

In spite of all the misinformation permeating social media and opinion "news" the overwhelming facts point to the efficacy of masks to mitigate the spread of this deadly virus. Please ignore the ignorance and trust science to protect our children and community as a whole. I implore you to be responsible citizens that set a good example for them.

Please protect our children.

It's just common sense. Kids need to wear masks!

Please reinstate the mask mandate at Harmony and North Oldham Middle School. I have two grandchildren that attend these schools and I worry about their health and the health of our entire family. We are living through a world pandemic and we need all the protection we can get. Masks WORK…please do the right and moral thing and REINSTATE the mask mandate….I’m begging you!!

In the face of all the facts, it would only make sense to help protect our kids by requiring masks in the schools.
