Board members are supposed to be the vital link between the library and its community. Board members serve as library advocates and leaders in developing responsible and creative library service to ALL of the public. Unfortunately, a few of them want to vilify some of the members of public or suppress information and education that could lead to more unity, understanding, and tolerance in your community. An individual who wants to keep books off of the shelves of a library, the place that offer so many solace and a sense of belonging, is the exact kind of person that you should not have as a sitting member of a library. You are supporting the very thing that libraries and educators have been fighting the last couple years. Do better!

Public libraries are for the public good, as these two dedicated library staff understand. Reinstate these library staff who were wrongfully terminated. Sterling, Kansas has plenty to be proud of. Build a reputation on what you love… not who you hate.

Retired School Librarian who taught the WAW lists of books happily for years. Librarians are today’s hero’s on the front lines of standing up for the right to read and learn and against censorship. Democracy depends on it.

Sterling is full of vile, evil leaders who fire people for being inclusive. These librarians deserve to be treated with respect for doing their jobs.

I’m with Dion Lefler on this one. Reinstate the two librarians who were fired and remove the rest of the Board members until/unless the votes from the firing are published as is required by law.

Reinstate the librarians. The injustice dine to them is appalling.
Libraries should be safe spaces for all.
An appalling display of ignorance and bigotry.
Censorship is not freedom!
