BHSC Members' Call to Reinstate Jon Sarosiek and Samantha Strong

This situation is absurd! Get Jon and Samantha back, fire Russ or lose sooo many loyal members. Your choice!

Don’t know how many BHSC members have access to this petition. BHSC has well over 1,000 family membership. If you care about this matter, please spread out this petition to other BHSC members. This is important. More people will make our voice stronger. I feel Russ Cronberg needs to be out, or power is reduced to hotels only. Please check out his bio. Looks to me his previous experience is hotels only. He never managed a large sports complex before. I can’t see how Jon and Samantha can come back if Russ is still there. I don’t mind for Jon and Samantha to report directly to UVa foundation. Making BHSC sports, whether includes Birdwood golf or not, separated from the hotel business seems an idea to talk about.

All my interactions with Samantha and Jon and shown them to be proactive and responsive to the needs of Boat's Head members. I value and depend on them both. I hope there's a comprehensive inquiry into this situation.

I have never met Russ and really have no idea about his leadership. I have met Samatha and Jon and respect them for their work and their attitude at the club. I never heard the reasons behind this decision but I definitely think this matter needs looked into by the people that are above Russ. Mike Owen

Jon and Samantha are respected and appreciated BHSC leaders. Please show them the decency and professionalism they have shown members.

While i would like more information, I have found Jon and Samantha to be outstanding representatives of the BHSC.

Seems like a hasty decision was made based on leadership behavior called into question. A good leader needs to be able to tolerate questioning and criticism and not regard it as insubordination. I would suggest that the club would be better served if Jon and Samantha are allowed to continue offering the excellent management they have provided to date. We are living in uncertain times and Jon has done a fantastic job of managing the situation to provide members use of the club. In my opinion, Russ has never had the Sports Club membership’s best interests at heart. I urge Tim and any other powers that be to listen to the membership. We have spoken. We are the ones who collectively know firsthand the job they are doing.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do to get Jon and Sam reinstated.

Jon & Samantha truly are special. Their hard work BEFORE Covid was always noted & so appreciated. But during Covid, politics, racial unrest, etc. I always wanted to hug them & shower them w genuine praise. They were/are LIGHT in a sometimes dark world.

Jon Sarosiek is the best leader the Boar’s Head has seen in my 23 years of membership. Jon and Samantha embody the Boar’s Head Spirit and are directly responsible for building The Boar’s Head Resort into what it is today. They both have my full support.

I have never been so shock in my life to hear this ridiculous news! Jon and Samantha have done more for this club in the years that I have known them that any of us could have imagined! An absolute travesty! Many many members talking about resigning from club or putting memberships on hold! And we would be one of those after being there for 14 years! Reinstate both of these dedicated, loyal, compassionate and vital employees NOW! Members will stand behind this all the way!!!!!!!!!!

Been a member for over 30 years. Jon’s leadership has made the club the best it’s evrr been.

Jon was a great guy to me. Always said hi whenever I passed him on my way to tennis, always had time to make small talk. He’s one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. Bring him back! He doesn’t deserve this!

Retribution by a supervisor for reporting sexual harassment to HR is also illegal.

Jon and Samantha were both excellent leaders and communicators, I fully support their reinstatement.

I understand that members may not know the entire story, but this is our club and we want Jon and Sam back and Russ gone; unless we are given a valid reason why that cannot be. We deserve the truth . We pay the dues.... we should certainly have a say in who works with and for us.

I emphatically support returning Jon & Samantha to their positions. Boar’s Head is a fantastic place to be a member, and you only need to read a few comments here or talk to a few members to know that these two are an integral part of why Boar’s Head is so special.

Jon and Samatha were great to Chris and supported all Special Olympics events. They made the Club so much better. Shameful. Bring them back
