BHSC Members' Call to Reinstate Jon Sarosiek and Samantha Strong

Mr. Cronberg has constantly attacked Jon as well as Samantha. They must be reinstated.

Sam was the reason we joined. She knew our kids names. Our kids love her and go into her office every visit.

Please re-instate Samantha Strong and Jon Sarosik!!

This is a miscarriage of justice, in my opinion. I've interacted extensively with both Jon and Samantha: they are both outstanding individuals who've worked hard to deliver an outstanding experience for all club members, before and during this pandemic.

I question the mental health of any organization that would fire 2 people who have built the collegial community of the sports club to its current level. Sam and Jon need to be reinstated. Without them, there may be a mass exodus from the club or less use. You reap what you sow. Show the sports club members that you are worthy of our patronage and RESCIND this incautious decision.

Jon and Samantha have my families full support

UVA Foundation -- you need to do the right thing and reinstate Jon and Samantha. You know as well as we do that they are excellent managers and leaders, and clearly have the full support of hundreds of BHSC members. Their commitment and dedication to the club should be recognized and rewarded, not shoved under the rug. Jon and Samantha embody everything UVA purports to stand for, and if Russ is threatened by Jon and Samantha because of their willingness to do the right thing - in spite of putting their own financial situations on the line - then I think we know who needs to go. You have the power, now make it happen.

Please reinstate Jon and Samantha. BHSC needs them.

I am not aware of the circumstances under which Jon and Samantha were released, but the incredible contribution that they make at BHSC should have been weighed in the decision.

Dismissing Jon was a gross error of judgement.

Both Jon and Samantha have been excellent representatives of BHSC. Cronberg has shown a lack of good judgement in letting them go.

Jon is an amazing leader

Jon and Samantha have been consistently outstanding in their unwavering commitment and dedication to delivering the highest quality member experience. Because of these and other uncommon and highly regarded leadership qualities that they have embodied in their respective roles, they have earned my admiration and respect. Judging by the response to this petition, it is clear that I am not alone in this regard. While I do not possess all the facts on this matter, to see the majority of our membership sign this petition, at a minimum, calls into question the very manner in which this has been handled. As was previously noted by Phil Anderson in his comments below, I too call on the UVA Foundation board to commission a thorough independent review of these terminations, and to reinstate Jon and Samantha in the interim.

Jon and Samantha were the 2 employees that represented the BH to me. The Best!!

Please do a more thorough investigation of the situation to satisfy the 100s of concerned members - or former members for those of us who are suspending our membership.

I do not know enough about the situation to sign the petition; however, Samantha has helped me several times and I have always found her extremely pleasant and helpful. She is an asset to the organization.

Jon and Samantha both have done a terrific job with the improvements throughout the club and they were on a path to make it even better. Best part of their success was their ability to communicate daily with the members and understand their needs.

I am an ACAC tennis player who attended an outstanding tennis clinic at Wintergreen before Jon came to BHSC. The detailed follow-up e-mail about how to improve my game I have kept and referred to often. His effort with this level of follow-up is exceptional and unique. Also, no fewer that 10 previous ACAC families have left there to join BHSC over the last 5+ years. Some of these are undoubtedly due to the respect and confidence they have in him not only as a person of character, but also as a top-tier (probably best in C'ville) tennis pro who truly cares about the people around him. Recalling the reversal of Theresa Sullivan's dismissal years ago, I know Uva folks have the potential to right a wrong if necessary!
