This is something that should NEVER be taken from a community in a nation such as ours!

Living in a small town that does not have an ambulance, it is vital that we can call Hoopeston directly instead of being bounced from multiple dispatch centers. Extra response = life or death.

I feel our town should have it reinstated..because as it is now we are not receiving these services in a timely manner. Minutes do count and i am very nervous we will at sometime need an ambulance, fire dept, or police and it will be to late for us or someone dear to us..and that is a tragedy..

Putting fellow Hoopeston people first is the noble thing to do...all efforts by the council to do so would be appreciated by so many.

I work at the school in Hoopeston and my son goes there.

My 73 year old father fell and it took over 15 mins for ambulance to come. City workers sweeping leaves helped get him up bc the ambulance had not come!

I think it was a stupid idea to do away with the dispatch in Hoopeston. A few weeks ago the fire alarms went off on every floor in my building and it took the fire department 30 minutes to respond.Calling to county takes time and delays response time. One day it is gonna cost someone their life and Hoopeston will face lawsuits due to emergency responders being too late.

I am a dispatcher in Florida and have dear friends that work for this agency. I understand and know how important it is for this agency to have their own dispatch who knows about their town and agency.

Please bring it back

I experienced a delay while calling 911 for my mom. The response time was about 10 minutes. We live less than 2 minutes from the ambulance barn. I was also put on hold for whatever reason and then told to call back if my mom's condition changed before the ambulance arrived.

My parents live their and i worry for their safety and health.

HPD dispatch is needed for our community due. Not having this dispatch puts the response time up and could negatively affect emergency situation calls. Our officers know where our families and businesses are located at. I hope that this will be reconsidered and brought back.
