I shop in Hoopeston and am elderly, would hate to have a medical problem and have to wait for help from Danville. I also have family and friends in Hoopeston that I'm concerned about .

We need our dispatch back it's so much easier to call out local pd to tell them what is going on and then immediately dispatch out verses calling another number then they sent it to someone else then our local pd gets the information by that time it could be to late seconds matter!

As a property owner and former City Attorney for the City of Hoopeston, I believe nothing can compare to having local dispatch in terms of response time and quality of dispatch services.

When you call the Hoopeston dispatch, they know where you are.. respond faster.. you don't have to explain for 10 minutes the location because they are already familiar!

The dispatch has been like this for a few years now. My brother-in-law needed an ambulance July 2015. Because of Hoopeston switching over to County dispatch, it took them 15 minutes to get a couple blocks away. If the ambulance would have gotten there sooner and gotten him to the hospital, the doctors and nurses would possibly have stopped the bleeding of the brain which caused him to pass away! Hoopeston needs this! The local, county, state, and federal governments need to stop cutting funds to stuff like this! More money towards the fire/emt/police along with the hospitals would be beneficial in more ways than one!

We need this back in town. Seconds, let alone minutes, can make all the difference in an emergency situations. Response time matters.

I grew up in Hoopeston and want it to be the great, safe place that it once was. Local dispatch is key to making that happen. This affects people I know and love and the community needs to do better by them!

I have friends that live in the area that are affected by the slower response times and the lack of knowledge of VC dispatch.

I have already witnessed the vast difference in response time of the current 911 setup, I need the center to be returned to Hoopeston, our lives and homes depend on it!

From initial phone call to them arriving used to take 2-3 minutes, with this new system it now takes at least 10 lifesaving minutes

My Parents live in Hoopeston. I feel that this is necessary for my parents as they are growing older and more health issues are a concern.
