Reinstate Grand Targhee's Family Ski Pass

Pretty sad that Targhee has decided that the war on family's is now effective on the ski mountain. My family has had a family season pass for the past 14 years. We will now go south to Utah for our skiing. It started with kicking the brown bag lunches to the upper rooms. Targhee is getting to big for its britches & is trying to be Vail or Park city. Not cool.

Please continue the family pass. It's the only way my family can afford to all ski at Targhee. We've bought a pass the last several years and want to keep buying them.

Go back to your roots!

This is absurd. We have been living and skiing with our family here for 15 years. Family pass makes its worth it to drive up for 1 or 2 runs when it’s completly packed. We are local. This mountain is becoming non local.

As a former employee of Targhee, I understand the importance of offering family ski passes. Please keep Targhee family friendly and affordable by reinstating family passes. Families have supported Targhee for many years. Make it a win/win for everyone. It’s the right thing to do.

This resort is entirely unfriendly to locals. We spend our hard earned money here and you all do NOTHING to show thanks. The base price for even a single adult pass is ridiculous, not to mention families. FIX THIS

The locals need affordable family passes

I am deeply concerned for every family that lives in this area. It is hard enough to live there, with the amount of expenses, now you are including the family pass?!!! Please keep the family passes around!!!!

It’s hard enough to scrape together he money for a family pass, and now this?! Maybe offer discounts on the total number of passes are bought together. For example, after you buy 2, each one after is like 20% discounted. Ben it doesn’t matter if you are th traditional family unit. Come on Targhee! If it really was about that, you’d come up with a solution. This screws a ton of people!

Our kids have learned to ski at Targhee, and we have enjoyed living near a family friendly ski resort. We had thought that days up at Targhee would be a regular winter activity for our family for years to come. However, without the family pass, our family will no longer be able to afford the resort. I do not understand the logic behind this business move on Targhee's part. Why make a statement about wanting to support all kinds of families and then follow it up by removing the family pass altogether? If Targhee really did support families, they would have found a way to make the family pass available to all kinds of families. I hope that Targhee reconsiders this decision. We would like to support a local business that values its young, local residents.

Please reconsider keeping the Family Season Ski Pass option at Targhee. My family and I really appreciate it!

I have grown up skiing at Targhee and am very proud to call it my resort. When I received news that the family pass would not be offered anymore my heart sank. Buying a family pass has already been a stretch financially for us, especially the last few years as we have experienced a big price increase every year. I was bummed last year when the bike pass was taken away and the 5 family member limit was added, but now I must say this is really difficult for us and hope you decide to reconsider.

Hope you decide to keep the family pass. We love skiing as a family and would hate to see it go.

This decision doesn't seem to make much financial sense to me.

Big Mistake. Targhee is a family oriented Mountain.You will lose past and future pass-holders

My family and I have been skiing at Targhee for 5 years and we can't afford it without the family pass. Now we're thinking about going to Pebble Creek because they still have a family pass - but I'll miss skiing at Targhee.

Please continue to facilitate family skiing.

Please understand, one of the beauties of targhee, is developing new skiers. The family pass helps that happen. I started skiing targhee in 1971. with my dad and brother. Every Saturday we had tons of friends there. Many i taught to ski who now bring their families. It was the days of hot dog skiing and we used to do flips off of the cornice by the good the bad and the ugly. We built big jumps, where it gets steep below the footnall field. As pres of the bonneville senior class of 1975, i called a senior sneek on Sunday night and everyone met up there on Monday...may 8 th. (You used to be open longer). Kids who had never skiied, came rented and wrecked for the 8mm movie we made.!!! I had 3 pair of skies..207cm rossignol for racing, 190cm head for general skiing and a pair of 170cm atomic Ryder with wide front ends (new technology). The atomics were for all kinds of tricks. I've raised 6 kids there skiing..2 have handicaps. Aubri is a leg amputee, and skis beautifully. She now brings her 5 kids there to ski. I have 19 grandkids. The oldest is David cooper 12. He can do incredible mogul runs. Calista cooper at 8 can bail off of the ugly- cornice. 15 of the 19 ski. I buy all the skis and every year we do a family ski swap. 67cm is the smallest size. At 18 months we start them. Little Cooper griffeth, started at 15 months and at 8 years old, this is his eighth season skiing. The family pass works, because kids may ski 1 hour and get cold. Mothers stay in and baby sit, then switch with dad's so she can ski. Full passes are too expensive every day for a big family that totally may not put that many run's on a hill. Cancel the family pass and you will lose not only that money but long term development of 1 kid growing up that becomes 35 skiers... like i did. You can count the seeds in an apple , but not the apples in one seed. Ive skied for 56 years and anticipate 30 more... with the great grandkids... Thanks for your consideration. Gar
