It is absolutely vital to continue this long-term monitoring, especially as we are entering a critical time in the life of our seas. Please reinstate this miniscule amount of funding as quickly as possible. Do not lose this opportunity.

Come on NRW, £12k is peanuts in terms of your budget for such an important research project. If you need to save money there must be other areas where such a small amount will not have such a large impact.

The continuation of this data collection is hugely important in the understanding of sea bird population status and the impact we are having on them. Please continue the funding. At 12k pa it isn't really very much in the grant scheme of things...

Come on NRW show some care for our natural resources. We need data - and this is supported by huge amounts of volunteers it is very cheap

Long-term monitoring of seabird populations is crucial in evaluating the health of the marine environment in thiese times of pollution, overfising etc. £12 grand is peanuts considering NRW's overall buget. Fund this vital research!

Understanding the long term effects of global warming on sea bird species is incredibly important. Incase you hadn't noticed a huge amount of tourist money in Wales is generated by an interest in wildlife. I suppose new logos and letterheads are more important than scientific research and the Welsh economy.

Just back from my 1st visit to Skomer's stunning bird colonies. How can NRW be so short-sighted over such a small amount of money for such vital research?

We need all the information we can get on why our sea birds are declining - they are a national and international treasure to be protected
