It's important to study our wildlife, especially seabirds after last years storms. Not enough funding goes into protecting our wildlife, and more goes into things that harm our wildlife. It's time that changed.

Guillemots survival is closely connected to the availability of suitable numbers of fish - so it is a good indicator of the health of our seas.

The value of this long term study is most important in safe guarding our seabird populations as the envirnment becomes more challenged.

As someone who worked on Skomer more than 50 years ago and someone involved with seabird monitoring studies I deplore the cutting of funds so necessary for important long-term studies.

I agree that the Guillemot funding should be reinstated. Overall funding needs a totall review if a new logo cost over £7500! Priorities need urgent review!
