Seabirds are in trouble all over the world. Increasing plastic pollution, overfishing and climate change are likely to make a bad situation worse. The long-term monitoring of guillemots on Skomer is critical to understanding our effects on the marine environment. Wales has an international obligation to monitor and protect the seabirds in its jurisdiction. Please reconsider this decision and reinstate funding to ensure this internationally renown study can continue.
Cutting this funding in the wrong move for Guillemots and for an important field of research and science.

This is an internationally knowe and important long-term study that should be supported into the future. For this tiny pricetag Wales gets the attention of at least two internationally recognized ecologists and their students. What a bargain!

This is a baffling decision, more so in the light of recent deaths of seabirds. Having such a long standing set of data is important in wildlife monitoring and management and Natural Resources Wales should be proud to have been part of such project rather than scuttle it. Reverse the decision please.
