It appears that relatively £12k is a small amount of money for Natural Resources Wales. If you actually spent over £7k on a new logo then putting up £12k to help ensure the survival of our beautiful seabirds and other creatures within the Welsh ecosystems is surely not too much to ask. Please reconsider your decision.

Long term data sets are invaluable and particularly important to understand the significance of recent mortality.

This is a really bad decision. As a Canadian seabird researcher I have long looked to UK for leadership in the field. Tragic to see an important study like this terminated.

At this time when seabirds are in so much trouble ! Why any organist op would stop funding for such an important studie is truly unbelievable .

This is avery short sighted decision with seabird populations in crisis. I realise you have to decrease spending in the current financial problems, but please find somewhere else!

A ridiculous bit of costs trimming that totally ignores, or at best fails to recognise, the value of this long-term study. A better way to save money would be to downsize the hierarchy at NRW, who obviously have no idea of the worth of focussed studies in providing direction for nature conservation actions. They should be held accountable for this lack of insight and thinking.
