I have never seen such a loving coach like him. Unlike the club team coach, he does not care about the swimmmers' time. He always gives the chances to all the swimmers to swim for the races. CHS swim team needs him. Without him, CHS swim team does not run!!

Who’s the genius who decided to fire a winning coach; really He is a role model that more coaches should emulate!

Coach D is an awesome coach, inspiring for all of the children And one of the winningest coaches The School District of Chatham has ever had. Give him a chance to correct the attendance issue if that is a concern.

Coach Frank came to the team when I was a senior and captain (2012-13 season) and the impact he had was incredible. He was a fantastic mentor and helped lead the boys to a county championship and the girls to a state championship. Doesn’t make any sense to me to lose such an amazing coach

Coach D is my all time favorite Chatham coach. His encouraging, inclusive and supportive style coupled with his Teams' success is an example against which all other coaches should be measured. Chatham students, parents, school officials and the boarder community have been so very fortunate to have Coach D. We need more Coach D.'s and we cannot deprive our students of all that Coach D. means and beings to the Chathams. I personally can't thank him enough . . . we Love Coach D!!

He plays everybody, he inspires everybody, not something too common in a coach. He is good for the kids, and fosters an environment where they can grow and develop into healthy young adults.

Both of my children played 3 sports @ Chatham High School. My son Cross Country, Swimming and Track and Field. My daughter Field Hockey, Swimming and Softball. The reason I bring this up is no other coach had a bigger impact on my children’s development as athletes or as people. He was supportive, encouraging and gave every kid their “moment in the sun.” Add to this that he pulled of Multiple Group, County and State Championships at the same time. If this is not enough for continued employment I fear Chatham has truly lost what high school sports are all about.

Coach D should be given a chance to rectify the attendance issue. In reality, it is not really his error at all; lay the fault on those responsible...the students. Coach D's "Can do" attitude and spirit of inclusiveness is rare in the hyper-competitive sports world of Chatham. He brings everybody up, from the best to the worst, and as a result, he has developed a powerhouse program respected throughout the state. Those who fired Coach D. have never been in the stands, at a mere dual meet, during the 500 free to watch the team explosively cheer their teammates with the same enthusiastic chant season after season, nor have they been to states to see Chatham win, and watch Chatham's parents cheer so loudly for their kids that it is not the sound of individuals, but the sound of an entire town 100% behind their squad. Nor have they watched their kids faces light up after the fire engines escort them up Lafayette Avenue and they get off the bus. Coach D. brings his entire heart and soul every day to the Chatham team, and he should be accorded the dignity and the opportunity to address the situation and fix it, which he will. The team cannot afford to lose him!---Kathy Hale, mother of Jamie West, Coach D. swimmer 2013-2014 seasons until we moved.

For as long as I’ve know Coach D, he has been an outstanding coach, mentor and friend to my two daughters and family. He has not only taught them how to swim, but more importantly, he has inspired positive values that we want to see encouraged in our children in sports and in life. He’s the best coach we’ve ever had.

The best coach EVER! The swimmer attendance issue is absurd. He should have been given an opportunity to rectify.

I had the pleasure of being coached by Coach D my sophomore-senior of high school! Coach D’s number one priority as a coach is to build positive relationships with his athletes! He created a positive environment for us and pushed us to do OUR best! There is NO ONE who cares more for this team than him! Words truly cannot describe him as a coach and person! He is kind, dedicated, and an amazing coach and most importantly a role model to all of his athletes! I am forever thankful for him, he truly shaped my high school experience!! HE IS CHATHAM SWIMMING!!! Maddie Clark ‘15 (Captain)

Coach D was the best coach I’ve ever had. 2013-2016 was so special to me because of Chatham Swimming. In the most challenging time of my life, Coach D created an environment in which I felt completely valued, appreciated and accepted. He teaches and coaches beyond just swimming. He cares about and loves his team. Each and every member. Chatham Swimming needs Coach D!! Claire O’Connor ‘16
