Justice was not served in accordance to the letter of the operating procedures; the procedures were abused for petty vengeance. The members of the Council who endorsed this should be ashamed.

Based on Ms. Presto's reporting of the incident, I ask the Council to accept the Disciplinary Panel's recommendation. At the same time Ms. Presto's future behavior should be held to a high standard to avoid any future incidents.

yes Fay should be reinstated to the Magic Circle, the one year ban should be lifted. I wont admit to knowing what goes on at the club or to knowing what the benefits are of being a member but i have been performing magic for over 30 years and i always thought anything to do with magic was meant to be fun and enjoyable. clubs and councils having meetings about you and banning people ect don't sound like fun tome, Sorry i could be way of the mark here.

This is stupid. The woman lost her temper when her attempt to add a little humanity to a function got dismissed. Censure her and let her back in.

Has the magic circle considered why Fay felt it necessary to have an outburst, there was obviously a reason for it. She apologised, so why set up an independent panel, then ignore their recommendations? Bringing up a 12 year old letter, looks like a witch hunt to me.

Since Fay's apology was initially accepted it seems unnecessary to hand down this punitive punishment. She is one of your most successful members and a great ambassador for the Circle.

WOW what a bloody travesty, I totally agree, one of the TOP Magicians in the UK, and she gets banned, what the hell to the Magic Circle seem to be doing, Certainly NOT promoting the magic arts,
You should listen to THE MAGICIANS PODCAST from TELLER and hear what he has to say about the organization, its not good,

I had the pleasure of meeting Fay when she came to our club a few years ago and she was an absolute joy to watch. Everyone has an off day and can snap at people but she tried to rectify it. From what I understand the Disciplinary Panel was sent up to deal with such issues when they arise so I fail to understand why their advice was ignored. This can only, in my mind, be because the ones who made this ridiculous decision have a different agenda. Fay unfortunately seems to have had to fight to gain respect because some people with their dinosaur way of thinking can’t be open minded enough to see past they end of their own noses! Perhaps it’s because they don’t like to be in the shadow of a woman? TMC have a history of amazing magicians and Fay has more than earned her place on that list, she supports her fellow peers and is true to who she is! It’s a dark day for magic and those who are responsible should be ashamed! But I would doubt they can even grasp they damage they are causing to their own reputation. I believe that if a wrong was done and a rule was broke then of course, have a punishment, but for goodness sake make it fit the crime. An absolute shambles has been made by people who were meant to know what they were doing!

As a musician, I have backed many magic acts. Fay Presto has always treated us and fellow performers equally and with great generosity, unlike many others in the magic business. She is a credit to the Magic Circle and to performers in general. It is a travesty that she finds herself in this position!
