Keep Prof. Gallant at Lehigh!!!

This is a shame

I have heard from some of her students that I, myself, know personally. I have great faith in their evaluation of the situation and the credibility of their opinions.

There still remains too much inequity at Lehigh

Very disappointed in my alma mater. Not donating a dime this year.

One of the best marketing professors should not be dismissed without a valid published reason!

Beth deserves every ounce of support. She truly shaped me as a student and gave me such a stronger understating of my field.. Not to mention she always went beyond the call of a professor. She helped so many alumni launch their careers, including my own. If Lehigh is truly interested in its investment in its student's success, then it will think twice about this decision.

As a 2008 alumnae, I had the pleasure of having Professor Gallant for two different marketing courses. She was truly one of the most engaging and caring professors I ever had the pleasure of having at Lehigh. She brought real world issues into the classroom and showed a genuine interest in each and every student's prospective career. Removing professor Gallant would be a terrible loss to all of her current and future students.

Without a doubt the best professor I had at Lehigh.

I had Professor Gallant for Sports and Entertainment Marketing in 2010 and she was one of the few Professors at Lehigh who went the extra mile to make sure her students got first-hand experience. For example, Professor Gallant took us to the MetLife Stadium where she had a Marketing Professional employed by the stadium give us a tour and discuss her responsibilities and the Sports Entertainment Marketing career path. She was truly unique and passionate about her role and deserves to continue teaching at Lehigh.

It is such a shame that Lehigh would allow for this to happen. Professor Gallant is one of the only professors on campus who cares about students and what their futures hold. I feel bad for all future marketing students who will never have the chance of meeting and learning from such a remarkable woman. I would not be who I am today without her knowledge, guidance and support.

Beth was hands-down THE best professor in the CBE. This decision obviously isn't being made based on teaching standards- but that she stood against a perceived (likely true) inequity. Smells like bullshit and a pending lawsuit.

My favorite teacher! I was lucky to have Prof Gallant as a teacher, and it would be a terrible shame if future students were not able to benefit from her wisdom and caring. Let her stay!! And give her a raise @lehigh

It would be a great loss to the CBE and the University at large to let Professor Gallant go. Few professors have done as much for their students in terms of fostering academic success, career placement and advancement; the ultimate goals of Lehigh's students. Her reinstatement ensures that a clear statement is sent to the stakeholders of the university: one which encourages gender diversity and serves as an affirmation to students that career success is a priority. I encourage the Marketing Department and the College of Business of Economics to consider the impact of their actions.

Beth Gallant inspired me to pursue marketing research and helped me land my current job. I've been very successful since & she's even led other promising Lehigh grads my way, 2 of which I've been able to get hired since. She creates lasting networks with students and alumni that go way beyond the classroom - that's where her value lies. I don't just consider Professor Gallant my favorite professor, but a mentor and friend.
