His many years of service to the school ought to be recognized.

Baffled. Truly baffled. Doc dedicated himself to serving the Choir School and the church. A modern-day Bach. Possibly the real originator of the trendy term "6ix." This is ridiculous that SMCS is doing this without giving the students and parents an explanation. As an alumnus, I ask this: what has the school become? Is this how you preserve the music and legacy of Msgr. Ronan?

No one is more suited for this position than Doc!!

The school needs Doc's knowledge of music and his skills that he acquired throughout his profession. He was a graduate of Yale University where he received his PhD.

When I first heard the news I was in shock as is the entire smcs community! this is ridiculous and no one deserves this position more than him. Smcs would never be the same unless he were to return.

Dr. Cichocki is exemplary in all that he has accomplished. He has trained and inspired many. The manner and timing of his departure is a stain on his stellar reputation. Rather than celebrate and thank him for his years of service, he has been shown the door through a bureaucratic email. Such is not the Christian way.

The finest choice to uphold the world class potential of the school.

It is a shame that Dr. Cichocki was let go without any reason provided. The public has every reason to know the circumstances of his firing. Dr. Cichocki is at the heart of the school's mission- preserving sacred music in a time of great secularization and there absolutely has to be a plausible reason as to his dismissal. The reason must be provided to the public and the public has every right to question it.

By far one of the most qualified conductors/music directors with lineage back to the choir school traditions and the best comprehension of sacred music. As a student, I owe a great deal to him. The choirschool wouldn't be this great had it not been for his contributions.

I was informed of this by a friend of mine who goes to SMCS. I have read the case through and I believe it is right, from what I've read and heard from students of this school, to sign and take part in making this happen.

I believe Dr. Cichocki is the heart and soul of this school. The new direction is not in keeping with what Msgr. Ronan had envisioned. It should be about the children and the bringing of sacred music to the Catholics everywhere.
