The university needs to consider the impact of this upon their reputation as a "fair and equitable" employer when this story reaches the media, which it undoubtedly will.

An 'interesting' decision, coming after recognition by the university of her work for equality in the workplace!

Equity needs fairness and transparency. To be able to trust your employer both are an essential component of any employment relationship

As a disabled Professor in IACD I am shocked at the crass insensitivity of this decision which is further a clear attack on trade unionism by an increasingly reactionary management

It is very difficult to believe that this is anything other than vindictive.

This action by the University is shameful. My thoughts are with Dawn and her family.

Outrageous and insensitive, I find it hard to believe someone as experienced and committed as Dawn is redundant!

I am extremely disappointed and dismayed by the University's treatment of Dawn, a most valuable asset to both the Union and the University in so may ways. I sincerely hope a fair and satisfactory solution can be found.

Does UoL think that treating people this way will improve or deteriorate staff morale? Allow OUR university to attract and retain the best staff?

I hope this redundancy can be withdrawn and Dawn reinstated. It is difficult to imagine a worse advertisement for the UoL as an employer.

Time for bosses to realise the ones who do the work are the most important part of a business. Not the management

Important to take a stand on behalf of a hardworking administrator and committed trade unionist - Dawn has always worked hard to support others, and we're all fully supportive of her in these difficult circumstances.
