A similar thing happened to me seven years ago. It's awful. Best of luck Dawn

Oh dear! This doesn't reflect well on the University of Liverpool at all.

This appears to be trade union victimisation at its worst!

Unacceptable treatment of a committed administrator and trade unionist. It's critical we fight this!

This sounds desperately unfair; I hope Dawnn fights this.

The compulsory redundancy of Dawn Holdman, following Dawn's 28 years of service at the University as a School administrator and the most experienced and hard working UCU Equalities Officer, is a disgrace for the University. As one of those who Dawn helped, and fought for whose equality rights for many years, I call on the University of Liverpool to reinstate Dawn. I call on UCU to escalate this local issue of TU Victimisation, to one of national significance in line with UCU policy.

I worked with Dawn Holdman in the school of School of Population and Behavioural Sciences. She was a lovely boss and always had time for me when I needed help. Very shocked to her about this such a valuable member of staff.

This is really unacceptable and I can't believe it was not possible to redeploy this long-serving staff member. If this was used go get rid of a staff member for other reasons this is disgraceful as there are overt disciplinary processes are in place that could have been used but that also allows an employee representation and protections

This is alarming and sounds unacceptable. To use "restructuring" to make a trade unionist compulsory redundant, and then advertising the same role external, is deplorable, and falls far below the standards that I would expect of our institution. I can only hope that sanity will prevail and the decision is reversed, both for Dawn's sake and that of our own reputation as a responsible employer.

This is wholly unacceptable. The UCU legal team should take action immediately, and if this gets us nowhere, we should take action.

This is saddening and disappointing. Dawn should be reinstated immediately.
