Briseno was not only my dance teacher but my cheer coach freshman-sophomore year. She doesn't deserve this. Please reconsider, she is an amazing coach and instructor.

It was not even her team that was caught making bad decisions, it is highschool the students made their own decisions and they should live with the consequence, this school has been absolutely ridiculous with every policy they have. I will never let my child attend a school that treats high schoolers like they are in elementary, and bullies their staff the way they do.

It wasn't Coach Brisenos fault for anything. She did everything she was directed to do and all she was doing was her job. She doesn't deserve to be fired for doing her job.

Coach Briseno was my dance and pom coach throughout highschool and she not only made me a better dancer but also a better person, she is responsible, dedicated and cares for each of her students so much, she is an amazing coach and it is a shame that she is being taken for granted and treated this way.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I graduated in 2013 and I had the opportunity of having Briseno as my coach and dance teacher for 3 of those years and during that time I was able travel with her to New York and California. I can say during those travels we were always very well supervised and there were never any issues. Mr. Kuffel and the administration have targeted and abused Briseno over and over again for no reason and she has put up with it because she loves her job and the girls she works with. Clearly it would be an extreme mistake to terminate her from her position seeing how many of our lives she has impacted.

Briseno is by far the greatest coach, teacher, role model I've had through out my high school years at shadow ridge and the school would be dumb to let briseno go because she was the only good thing about shadow. And she was the main reason many kids still choose to attend shadow ridge even though they had other opportunities.

To whoever commented as anonymous, I can speak for family and the students at Shadow, that on numerous occasions, we can hear the football coaches and players SCREAMING curse words at eachother, as well as basketball. Also as a member of the varsity cheer team, no one has yelled curse words during stunting. The reason that we schedule practices all the time is because cheer is never a priority because all other sports come before us for the use of the gym and for learning chants and cheers. So, coach always helped us be prepared with extra practices.

I had Briseno as my dance and Pom coach for 3 years in high school. She was always determined to keep everyone happy and made sure the girls were always safe and if anyone had any issues they could go to her for anything. She's amazing and this should not have happened.

I graduated from Shadow in 2014 . Kuffle had hated briseno & made her do unnecessary stuff all the time for as long as I can remember. Since I was a sophomore in high school. I am 21 now. To hear he is still treating her unfairly is ridiculous, he made it hard for the cheer girls back then, I can't even imagine the difficulty right now. Ugh.

This firing of Coach Briseno is a witch hunt & totally uncalled for. Mr Kuffel has been trying to get her fired from her head coach position since he started. She is a wonderful teacher, coach & mentor to these young people & cares about them like they are her own children. I think it's time to take a look at Mr Kuffel & find out exactly WHY he wants Coach Briseno out & I believe we'll find it personal & not professional. The reason for allowing 17 year old students to walk unchaperoned to walk less than a block to get drinks by thereselves is not a justified reason for letting her go. (which was ok'd by their patents first) It's not written in the rules & if you believe she should be written up, it should be a warning if anything. You can't make rules for part of the staff & not others.
So please spread the word for reinstatement of Coach Briseno. We are also contacting the Superintent of the district, and the news agencys.
Mr Kuffel get your act together or get out.
Mr Hawkins take care of your teachers & coaches, you should be their mentor & champion & not standing behind a man with a hidden agenda & who doesn't give a crap about anything but himself.
Parents make yourselves heard, don't just let it go away. Someday this might be your Son or Daughter being bullied at a job just because their superior doesn't like them. Thank you for listening.

Every year Shadow Ridge admin finds some reason to terminate Briseno from her coaching position. I'm a former cheerleader & often think about Briseno & how much she has influenced me. I have had the opportunity to attend nationals multiple times with Briseno & she has always looked after us like one of her own. I'm saddened to hear Briseno is being punished to this extent for these ladies decisions. I've never met a coach who cares so much for her athletes. If these girls were to make these bad decisions on school campus, would the admin be punished? Briseno deserves better but I know she has a strong bond with her athletes & wouldn't leave them alone with the corrupt athletic department of Shadow Ridge. I am disappointed in Shadow Ridge administrations decision.

This is ridiculous. Every year admin tries to find anything they can to fire Coach Briseno. Yes some girls made poor choices but that is not her fault. Is the school going to fire teachers because students were doing drugs in the bathrooms and they were not being supervised? No. I was on track, soccer and cross country throughout high school. Each away game, meet or invitational we were able to go off on our own without a chaperone. I remember I was able to walk 5 blocks to Subway with 2 of my teammates. These students are in high school. They are young adults and they should not have to be watched over every second. I went to nationals for 3 years and Briseno always made me feel completely safe. Cheer was one of the few reasons why I enjoyed high school. Coach Briseno made our team feel so confident and made all of us so close. She has put so much time and effort into the cheer program and it's so disrespectful that you are going to punish her because a few girls wanted to make bad decisions. Admin never looks at the good Briseno does. They just document all negatives about cheer and find some reason to fire her.

My sister only looks forward to cheer and that's what has been getting her through high school. To suspend her coach for the actions of others is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. She has told me multiple times how much her coach influences her in many positive ways. Please reinstate her.

Coach Briseno has made such a big impact on me for cheer and I couldn't imagine cheer without her as my coach. She dedicates everything to each and every one of us and she deserves this position more than anyone else. We love her so much.
